Decomposing
Serenity
- We'll Stop when You're Dead (Maybe) Reviews: Decomposing Serenity's last effort before calling it quits. This cd captures the best of DxSx throughout the years in every aspect; production, creativity, intensity, and so forth. Like other releases, you can expect the same style of no rules frenetic grind at its best, with an added touch of genius. Lots of insane shredding paired with Witter's trademark gremlin-like vocals as well as the standard gore burp. Drum programming adds to the music an appeal not found in a lot of grind. Gives you a fresher, more technical approach to things. I absolutely love the bass work on this release as well, very powerful and audible adding a very dark and often jazz-esque feel to the mix. The songs toy around with an very catchy song structure and the same kinds of morbidly humorous themes ranging from the destruction of child-like innocence to some of the most fruitful ways to torture and kill a victim. Mixed in are some clever samples, eerie synths, and some of the most skilled guitar and bass attacks. There's even a bonus video on the cd that shows you the making of one of the dolls on the album's cover! -Astrofaes
