Reviews
These Australians play some nice thrash metal which is
released on Gorgorth’s (Baltak, Bui Omega) label Battlegod. As I don’t received
a info sheet I don’t know any of their history but I think this their debut.
Don’t expect fast riffing, blast beats or such things, this is plain good
mid-tempo thrash with a growl at the speed of Bolt Thrower or some Altar tracks.
Also some Swedish melodic death and heavy metal riffing as you listen to
“Soul-less”....well I think it is “Soul-less” cause the tracklist on backcover
difference with the one in the booklet. Nice thrash with some death and heavy
metal debut. -Vampire

I get quite a few demo tapes per month and whether or not you like it, image is
quite important. If I open the jewel case and see taped on photos then honestly
I'm not as inclined to listen to it. Abortus is a great example of driving
ambition, their razor sharp sound accompanied by original riffs and blinding
solos makes them a wicked and original outfit in a world of copycats.
I can't emphasise how tight a band Abortus is, if I hadn't read their bio I
would swear these guys have been blasting out metallic tunes since birth. The
sound executed throughout the album is very reminiscent of Slayer's masterpiece,
"Reign in Blood." For some reason everything on, "Judge Me Not…" has that killer
thrash feel with barked growled that can't be denied as great.
Be on the lookout for Australia's Abortus cause they won't give up without a
massive fight. They're worth checking out, no doubt about it.-Midnight
