I AM NO HERO WEBZINE
2 Bands for the price of 1? Good deal I think! No Escape records offers you a split full length with Fuck… I’m Dead and Engorged taking care of the noise.
Fuck… I’m Dead is an Australian goregrind band. They give you 8 songs of thrashy goregrind. Aggressive downtuned guitars, ultra-fast double bass kicks, extremely heavy vocals and an intensity factor 10 make this a very solid piece of an Australian grindcore attack.
Engorged is a little bit more death metal and metalcore tinted, although it is still torturing goregrind. The very cool samples, sound effects and production make this really interesting to listen to. Damn, these Americans metalheads know how to let you headbang.
About the artwork I can be short: frea-ky!

BLUDGAWD EXTREME METAL RESOURCE
FID Side: First and foremost, you get 8, count em, 8 brandy new tracks from these Aussies grinders. Fuck... I'm Dead follow up their Razorback Records debut with even more ferocity and blazing fury. From the first track "Horrendous Bowel Evacuation" to the end song "Force Red Brutality" you are dragged through some of the most manic grind. If you have heard any previous material by FID than let me tell you, this will have your headbanging with such speed and intensity you're neck will feel like a stick of butter on a hot day. Being a fan of the bands previoius effort I was waiting anxiously for this and was well rewared for the patience. The drum machine that the band uses has a cleaner, almost realistic sound, and the programming is tight. The guitars are a flurry of frenzied riff structures, the vocals again range from the spastic high screams and deep gutturals. My only complaint right now is the fact the songs fly by so quickly you don't really FID's 8 tracks are over. I guess my patience will be tested again until these nutcases come up with something new. Again, if you are or were a fan before this was released you WILL NOT be dissapointed.
ENGORGED side: The attack ensues and Engorged bring us 5 new tracks of world dominating carnage. The trademarks that have made this band what they are from the beginnning have not been lost, and all fans will be excited to know that this shit will kick your ass once again. After a few listens I have got to say this is the best shit I have heard from these guys so far. In the past it seems that they have just tried to grind as fast as they could grind, but here you get little pockets of air allowing the listener to not only breathe but to give the neck a little rest. The first track "Alien Contamination" is of epic proportions, telling a tale of mass devestation and the zombification of mankind. Bahaha, I just made that up, sounded good though didn't it? My favorite track is the song "Death Metal Attack 2000", a new installment of the "Death Metal Attack 1, 2, 3... etc" series. The song has a throwback to thrash feel to it and grooves along quite nicely. If this is a taste of the direction Engorged are heading let the world over be prepared, not only for the chaos but for the infectious contagion that eminate from this new slab of Engorged styled grind. OVERALL, this split is probably one of the best splits to have come out in a long time and you would be a sucker to not grab this bitch up. Did I say it's that good yet? Thought so! Recommended!!!
