METAL SHTORM
This is a staggering release with all the abrasive immediacy and impact of Brutal Truth's ECDER, and catchy as hell to boot. Captain Cleanoff play an extreme blasting, screaming, pull out your own teeth with a pair of pliers brand of grind whcih has elements of old school bands like Terrorizer and (old) Napalm Death (infectious riffs that will stick in your head for days and economic song writing which gets to the point and then gets the fuck out of there before you can catch your breath) and also as mentioned the ferocious energy of Brutal Truth, and speed, power and aggression of Nasum and Birdflesh. In other words a winner in every sense. Captain Cleanoff are amazing live and its great to see them put out this MCD which is of similar standard. You can put this on repeat and never tire of it.


SPLATTERED WEBZINE
If you like your grind core full of roaring blast beats, high-pitched Anal Cuntish screams, low deep vox, and short song lengths (the average song being about one minute), CAPTAIN CLEANOFF is for you. Not loosing for a second its energy nor intensity, this is one hell of a violent recording . But I have to say I found most of the samples extremely annoying, and it gets more annoying each time I listen to them. It just seams like samples are being way overused by grind core/death metal bands these days and few of the samples actually are relevant to the song, or let alone even good. But obviously the thing that really matters is the musick, and CAPTAIN CLEANOFF are good at that. The riffs were defiantly grind corish, and the maniacal really got the epinephrine flowing. With this kind of intensity, it looks like FUCK…I’M DEAD and BLOOD DUSTER might have some competition. This CD was a very enjoyable experience for me, and no devoted grind core fan should be bereaved of this brutality.
